How to obtain an Indenting Registration Certificate?

The procedure for obtaining an Indenting Registration Certificate is regulated by the Office of the Chief Controller of Import & Export (CCI&E). the procedure is as follows:
Step 1: Collect a form of indenting registration certificate from the Controller of Imports & Exports office.
Step 2: Collect and fill out three copies of the Challan Form, then pay the fee. Schedule fees can be deposited at Bangladesh Bank or Sonali Bank branches. Deposits should be made under the following heading: 1 – 1731 – 0001 – 1801. (Fees: Initial Registration- BDT 7000 & Renewal- BDT 5000).
Step 3: Submit the application with supporting documents.
Required documents:

  1. Attested photograph of entrepreneur/managing partner/managing director.
  2. Attested copy of trade license.
  3. Membership Certificate from Local Chamber of Commerce and Industries or Bangladesh Indenting Agents’ Association.
  4. Bank’s certificate for economic solvency.
  5. Agencies’ deeds with overseas suppliers.
  6. Original copy of Challan.
  7. Attested copy of TIN.
  8. Attested copy of registered partnership deed (For partnership company)
  9. Attested copies of certificate of incorporation along with memorandum and articles of association by Registrar of Joint Stock Companies and Firms (RJSC) (For public/private limited company).

Required Time: Three days from submission of required documents.
Renewal process: After paying the renewal cost by challan at Bangladesh Bank and submitting one copy of the challan to the designated bank, the renewal indenting certificate is issued automatically.
