Ms. Tabassum is currently serving as an Associate at Russel and Partners. She holds an LL.B. (Hons) degree from BRAC University and has completed a Master’s in Peace, Conflict and Human Rights Studies from Bangladesh University of Professionals. She is also certified in Social Dialogue and Human Resource Management, with a focus on Industrial Dispute Settlement.

Ms. Tabassum works in the firm’s Immigration Wing, where she also specializes in Taxation and VAT. Her main responsibilities include managing expatriate work visa processes for both local and multinational companies, along with handling family visas for eligible dependents. She engages in regular coordination with government institutions, including BIDA, the Special Branch (SB), NSI, and relevant foreign ministries, to ensure adherence to legal requirements related to work permits and remittance regulations. Furthermore, she oversees the timely submission of annual tax returns and monthly VAT Deducted at Source (VDS) returns on behalf of the firm’s clients.
