The procedure for obtaining ad-hoc IRC is through the online One-Stop Service Portal (OSS Portal) of the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA). The procedure is as followed:
Step 1: Fill up the application for ad-hoc IRC from the OSS Portal.
Step 2: Submit the application with the required documents.
Step 3: BIDA organizes a site inspection of the applicant’s factory or plants after receiving the application to ensure that the applicant is ready to consume or use the imported materials and machinery appropriately.
Step 4: Following the inspection, BIDA sends a recommendation for issuance of ad-hoc IRC to the Office of the Chief Controller of Imports and Exports (CCI&E).
Required Documents:
- A forwarding letter to the Registration & Incentive Section of BIDA signed by the chairperson/ managing director of the company,
- Registration letter issued by BIDA,
- Prescribed application form,
- Certificate of Incorporation,
- Tax Identification Number (TIN) certificate,
- Trade license,
- Fire license,
- Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC),
- Membership of concerned chamber/ trade body,
- List of importable raw materials for production (expressed in per unit),
- List of local and imported machinery,
- Memorandum and Articles of Association,
- Bank certificate.
