In Bangladesh, a trade license can be obtained through the City Corporation/Municipality/Union Parishad Office. It can be obtained both manually and digitally in Bangladesh. Both procedures are outlined below:
Application Process for Commercial Firms:
Step 1: Collect the prescribed Application Form from City Corporation/Municipality’s relevant Zonal office
Step 2: Submit a filled-in Application Form to the Taxation Officer along with supporting documents
Step 3: Inspection by the Licensing Supervisor
Step 4: Applicant deposits scheduled fees at the City Corporation/Municipality/Union Parishad
Step 5: Obtains Trade License from City Corporation/Municipality/Union Parishad Office.
Application Process for E-Trade License:
Step 1: Go to the E-Trade License website which is administered by the Local Government Division and pick the ‘New Registration” option. (Applicants can use the same website to renew, reissue, and relinquish their trade license).
Step 2: The applicant must accurately provide the required information in the appropriate area of the form.
Step 3: Depending on the kind of trade license, a digital copy of the appropriate documents must be submitted with the application.
Step 4: The application will be submitted for verification after it has been completed. A tracking number will be issued enabling the applicant to check the status of the application at the same time.
Step 5: After verification, submit the required fee and collect an online copy of the provisional license.

- Work Permit from Board of Investment
- Statement of Bank Solvency
